>> Google与MIT宣布开源Android App Inventor
Source Map of Andorid App Inventor
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The App Inventor distribution consists of the following subdirectories, the first seven of which contain source code for sub-projects:
- aiphoneapp: the application that runs on the mobile device when it is connected to a computer running App Inventor.
- appengine: the GWT application whose front-end provides the Designer running in the client browser and whose back-end provides supporting server-side functionality, such as storing and retrieving projects and issuing compile requests to the buildserver.
- blockseditor: the Blocks Editor, which runs through JNLP on the client.
- blockslib: library code (descended from the MIT Open Blocks library), used by both blockseditor and buildserver.
- buildserver: an http server/servlet that takes a source zip file as input and produces an apk and/or error messages
- common: constants and utility classes used by other sub-projects.
- components: code supporting App Inventor components, including annotations, implementations, and scripts for extracting component information needed by other sub-projects.
The remaining two subdirectories contain static files:
- docs: user-level documentation, such as tutorials.
- lib: external libraries, such as junit, used by the various sub-projects.

The question is: How will we meet the rising demand for a new generation of apps that can fuel real business growth?
TECHNOLOGY INVESTMENT & DEVELOPER FOCUS
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Key areas of technology investment in 2012 are revealed by both the types of projects that developers expect to tackle, as well as their priorities for career and skills development.
66% of all developers surveyed will be engaged in mobile app development projects, while 40-50% expect to work on APIs, cloud projects, social media integration, and big data/analytics.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------
When asked about career and skills development priorities for 2012, 75% of all developers ranked next-generation UI development as a top priority. In addition, 67% of all developers want to hone their app development skills on mobile platforms, and 46% are looking to gain expertise in cloud development. As one might expect, proficiency in big data/analytics is another top priority, as reported by an average of 44% of all developers working at companies with over 100 employees.
RISING CLOUD OPPORTUNITIES
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The software development industry continues to evolve at a rapid pace, with enterprise-wide cloud development practices becoming increasingly attractive to IT organizations. Software-driven enterprises see the cloud as a means to improve collaboration and productivity, and accelerate time to market with quality software applications. This trend is evident in survey responses regarding developers’ intentions to use public clouds for app development and deployment projects in 2012. More than 60% intend to use public clouds, with 54% already specifying a public cloud of choice. Amazon Web Services was the dominant public cloud with 30%.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------
46% of all developers are looking to build cloud skills, with a high desire to gain expertise among 52% of developers in large enterprises.
